Bartlesville High baseball will be back in action at home for the first of a two-game District series.
It is a big set against Enid at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium at home on Monday and on the road on Tuesday.
The Plainsmen have the inside track at second place in 6A-District 4, a sweep, or even a split, against Enid for Bartlesville could set the Bruins up for a big final week of the regular season – depending on how other games go across the state.
The past week has been good for the Bruin bats. Bartlesville has hit .402 as a team over its past five games against Stillwater twice, Sand Springs, Skiatook and Coweta. BHS improved to 18-8 on the year after a 10-6 win against Coweta on Saturday.
Bartlesville head coach Cody Price says hitting the baseball is hard.
The past five games have been the best stretch of the season for the Bruin bats. BHS will try to keep it going against an Enid team that is known for its pitching prowess. Enid won both its games over Bixby in last week’s sweep over the Spartans, 1-0.
In four District series wins over Muskogee, Booker T., Tahlequah and Bixby, Enid is surrendering 1.8 runs-per-game.
A 5:00 first pitch from Rigdon Field on Monday.
We will have the game joined in progress on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1. Video coverage for the entirety on KWONTV.com.
