Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond was a special guest Tuesday morning for the Bartlesville Chamber of Commerce's Eggs and Issues breakfast.

Drummond told the crowd there are three areas of concern for residents in Washington, Nowata and Osage counties — including Native American sovereignty and illegal marijuana grows.

The attorney general grew up in Osage County and has frequently disagreed with Gov. Kevin Stitt on tribal compacts and the implications of the McGirt decision. Drummond says he is committed to working with tribes to ensure their sovereignty and rights are respected.

Drummond says illegal marijuana grows are a huge problem in Oklahoma, and most of them are being run by Chinese nationals who have immigrated to the United States illegally. He says more than 200,000 acres of land in the state are owned by illegal Chinese cartels.
The attorney general says he is committed to working with multiple agencies to stop these illegal grows, and gave a startling statistic just from the previous week.

Drummond says he is committed to transparancy and openess while he is serving as attorney general.
