The Osage County Jail Inmate Roadside Cleanup crew was hard at work on Wednesday, cleaning up county roads and highways. The roadside crews demonstrated their willingness to take part in community service and their own personal growth under the watchful eye of Sheriff Eddie Virden.

An Osage County Sheriff's Office press release states that the program benefits both the community and inmates, as serving in the program helps the inmates develop new skills, re-frame their lives and work toward a brighter future.

The crews have been working to pick up litter on the side of Osage County highways throughout the day and you are asked to slow down and give the workers some space if you come upon a crew wearing bright reflective vests.
