OCSO could be on TV Show, some say it could be Political Move

At Monday’s Board of Osage County Commissioners meeting, Undersheriff Gary Upton presented to the board a contract that would feature the Osage County Sheriff’s Office on an upcoming television series titled, “The Force.”
Upton said that Osage County District Attorney Mike Fisher had some concerns with the contract, but Upton said Fisher was working with the producer of the show to address those concerns and it would be best to approve the contract, as time is of the essence to get chosen to be a part of the show. Upton talks about what the show is about.
Upton said the filming would take place in October and November with editing to take place in December and the show would debut in 2024.
District Three Commissioner Charlie Cartwright raised a few concerns with what Upton was presenting to the Board.
In addition to that, Cartwright says some could view this as a politically motivated stunt as the primary election nears.
The Board opted to table the agenda item until they can get the proper documentation and clarification from the district attorney’s office.
