Bartlesville's overall water supply is currently at 67.9% capacity. However, the City Council voted 3-2 on Tuesday to suspend Stage 2 of the water shortage ordinance until a committee studies options for more water resources.

Hulah Lake, Bartlesville’s primary water supply, is full and just barely in the flood pool. Hudson Lake capacity is at 79% and Copan Lake is more than 6 feet below normal. The Caney River is at 100% flow.

Appearing on City Matters on KWON, Bartlesville City Councilor Trevor Dorsey explains why the water shortage ordinance was suspended.

Vice Mayor Jim Curd and Councilor Billie Roane voted against suspending the water shortage ordinance. Mayor Dale Copeland and Councilors Loren Rozel and Trevor Dorsey voted in favor of suspending water restrictions.
