The Dewey Hotel Museum is having a “Round-Up The Bucks” Big Buffet Fundraiser on October 7, 5-8pm, at the Bartlesville Masonic Lodge.  

 

Appearing on COMMUNITY CONECTION, Ron Adams and Joe Sears gave us a fun but-all-too-brief history of the historic Dewey Hotel. Ron said the reason for the fundraiser is because the hotel needs repainting and the pricetag in just north of $55,000.

 

Joe explained that the reason for the cost is that the hotel is on the National Register and that in order  to keep it that way, the painting project must be conducted within specific guideline.

 

Advance tickets for the“Round-Up The Bucks” Big Buffet are available for $8, through September 30, at wchs-ok.org or in the Dewey Hotel’s historic lobby, from 10am-4pm, Tuesday through Saturday.  After September 30th, tickets will be $10 at the door with $5 tickets for kids under 12 years.  

 

Price’s Old Fashioned Meat Market will cater the event.  Proceeds will go towards painting the outside of the 123 year historic icon.
