Bartlesville CommUNITY Festival Set for Sep. 23

History Museum Director Shellie McGill has been tasked with exploring opportunities "to embrace the unique cultures of the community" through working with partnering agencies and leading initiatives that can help identify unmet cultural needs.
"Community Character is identified as one of the priorities in the City's strategic plan, which places importance on highlighting the diverse cultures of our community," said McGill. "To that end, we have been working with a local group to help plan the annual Community Fest Festival, which will be held in downtown Bartlesville on Sept. 23."
The event will be from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Unity Square, located at 300 S. Adams Blvd. “This is a festival that allows all of us to experience culturally diverse artisans, dances, cuisine, and music all in downtown Bartlesville," McGill said.
The festival will also have a raffle prize for students, as the Community Fest organizers will be giving away a Nintendo Switch. Raffle tickets can be obtained by students at the library table from 5-6:45 p.m. The drawing for the winner will take place just before 7 p.m. The winning ticket must be presented at the time of the drawing to win.
