An Avant man was killed Thursday in a construction accident in Osage County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Kasey J. Griffin of Avant was operating a Trupac Roller on North 66th West Avenue near West 61st Street in Tulsa at approximately 1 p.m. Thursday. While driving the equipment down a steep hill, it hit an uneven spot on the roadway causing Griffin to lose control. The equipment rolled over on its side, ejecting Griffin approximately two feet.

Griffin was transported by ambulance to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition with head injuries. He later died at the hospital.
