The Pawhuska Fire and EMS crew participated in a training event over the weekend to be better prepared when emergencies strike. 

It was a two day event that the department took part in, as they went through a search and rescue course where team members learned skills to safely extract trapped victims. At Beaver's Bens State Park, they also learned the proper techniques of making a water rescue. 

On day two, emergency personnel practiced live situations of a structural search and rescue.
