According to unofficial results after Tuesday’s primary election, Shivel received 971 votes, or 38.9%, and Colaw received 916 votes, or 36.7%. The third candidate, Daryl Worley, received 609 votes, or 24.4%.
Since neither Colaw or Shivel received more than 50%, the two candidates will head to a run-off election on Aug. 27.
