Residents in the listening area are being advised to prepare for the possibility of severe weather beginning late Thursday night and continuing into early Friday morning.

Forecasters say a thunderstorm complex is expected to develop west of the area and move eastward overnight, potentially bringing large hail and damaging wind gusts. A continued risk for severe weather may persist into Friday morning as the system shifts east.

The greater threat, however, is expected with another storm system forecast to develop late Friday night and move through early Saturday. That complex could bring damaging winds up to 75 mph, large hail, heavy rain, and a limited tornado threat.

Officials urge residents to monitor weather updates closely and ensure they have multiple ways to receive overnight warnings—especially alerts that can wake them if needed. Please stay tuned to Bartlesville Radio KWON AM 1400/FM 93.3 and 95.1, KRIG 104.9, KYFM 100.1, and KPGM AM 1500/FM 99.1.
