The Oklahoma City Thunder back in the news, as OKC had the No. 15 overall pick in the first round of the NBA Draft on Wednesday night.

The Thunder stayed with its defensive theme, picking one of the highly regarded defenders in Georgetown center / forward Thomas Sorber.

Sorber averaged 14.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and two blocks a game with the Hoyas last year as a freshman before coming out early.

He talks about his defensive mindset.

Sorber underwent season-ending foot surgery in February.

The Thunder then sent its No. 24 pick to the Sacramento Kings. In exchange OKC will get a top-16 first round protected pick in 2027 that originally came from the San Antonio Spurs. Should it not convey, the Thunder will receive two second round picks in that same year.
