High school football Week No. 6 kicked off throughout Northeast Oklahoma on Friday night, unfortunately didn’t have a great night locally, with a lot of teams falling.

Bartlesville High had its Homecoming spoiled by Muskogee. The Roughers beat the Bruins 48-0 Friday night at Custer Stadium.

Most of the highlights for BHS came early. The contest was a two-score game until the very waning moments of the second quarter.

However, Muskogee started to turn it on from there. A Bruin turnover, a Muskogee recovered onside kick, and some quick strike scores put the game out of reach quickly. BHS trailed 34-0 at half.

Sutton Williams returned to the backfield a bit. This wildcat run for a first down was one of the offensive highlights early.

BHS falls to 0-6 and 0-3 in District play. Bartlesville will next play at Putnam City North on Thursday.
