Another team sport this spring is headed to state for BHS.

Bartlesville slow pitch softball won its own Regional on Tuesday afternoon to advance to 6A State.

The Lady Bruins did it with two straight wins with their back against the wall. After a 14-0 win over Claremore, Bartlesville lost to Owasso, 9-8.

Bartlesville then reeled off two wins over the Rams, 6-3 and 11-1 to advance to state next week.

In game two it was never close. Chelsea Goddard and Isabell Daniels both got two base hits in the victory. BHS scored all its runs in the first four innings in a run-rule victory. Savannah Alden and Lola Redington both drove in three.

In game one Bartlesville was up 3-2 in the sixth and scored three more runs over the final two frames to grab the win.

The 6A slow pitch softball State Tournament will begin on Wednesday of next week.
