Bartlesville boys’ basketball got its third win of the season on Saturday afternoon. The Bruins beat Moore’s JV club in the seventh-place game of the John Nobles Tournament in Moore.

BHS topped the Lions, 52-36.

This is the first win for Bartlesville against a team other than Ponca City. The win also means a young Bruin club will at least tie last season’s win total of three.

Hudson Eads hit back-to-back three-pointers to extend the Bruin lead midway through the fourth quarter.

On the girl’s side, BHS also went 1-2 during this past weekend’s tournament in Frontenac, Kansas. The Lady Bruins fell to St. Mary’s Colgan, 51-37 in the third-place game. It was a single-digit game throughout.

Lady Bruins have a single non-District game at Muskogee on Thursday night.

The next Bruin District double-header is at Sand Springs on Friday evening.
