Bartlesville High baseball ended its District season on a high note, as BHS wrapped up a two-game sweep of Muskogee with a great night for its seniors on Tuesday evening at Rigdon Field.

Bartlesville beat the Roughers 4-1 to wrap up a seventh-place finish in 6A-District 3.

The Bruins used three runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 3-0 lead and would not look back. With one out BHS had six straight reach, five on singles, to score first.

This base hit from Brett Eaves drove in Brenden Asher to get the scoring going, with the aid of a Muskogee error.

In his last start on the mound at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium as a Bruin, Brenden Asher was brilliant. He went the complete seven innings, worked around seven hits and allowed only one unearned run.

Five of Asher’s seven strikeouts came in the last two innings, including this one that ended it.

Bartlesville will now await its Regional pairing, with the postseason set to begin likely on Wednesday or Thursday next week.
