Bruin Basketball Around the Corner

Its nearly basketball season across the area, with three or four weeks separating most high schools and the start of regular season play.

At Bartlesville High, both the BHS girls and boy have been scrimmaging. The Bruin guys took a road trip to Texas to play some prep teams from the Lone Star state this past weekend.

Meanwhile on the girl’s side, BHS went 2-0-1 in three scrimmages over the weekend. The Lady Bruins beat Stillwater and Enid, while they tied with Southmoore.

For the Bruin boys, BHS is trying to build off of last year’s winning season while dealing with the departure of seniors Kent Girard and Jordan Carter. All other major contributors are back this winter.

Head coach Clent Stewart talks about some changes the Bruins are making on both sides of the ball.

Hear more from Stewart and Lady Bruin skipper Justyn Shaw, along with all other coaches from the area this Saturday morning during our Coaches Breakfast Broadcast.

Our annual high school basketball preview show will air from 7:00-9:30 on KWON and We will be live from Chick-Fil-A Bartlesville.
