Both Bartlesville basketball teams are still in the 6A postseason, but only by a hair.

The Bartlesville boys fell in their first-round game of the 6A Regionals at Broken Arrow on Thursday night.

The Bruins hung around but lacked the fire power to keep up with the Tigers. BA over BHS, 58-32.

Bartlesville was down 20-7 at the of the first quarter and never got within striking distance after that. Bruins trailed by 15 at halftime and that is as close as they would get in the second half.

This Eli Robertson three-pointer early on kept BHS around.

Again, Riley Duong led the way offensively. Duong was the only Bruin in double-figures with 10 points, two coming on this and-one in the third quarter.

The pace and defense for Bartlesville was good enough, but the Bruins could not get enough offense to keep it close.

Both Bartlesville basketball teams will face elimination on Friday.

BHS girls against Muskogee at 2:00, Bruin guys against Stillwater at 6:00. Lady Bruins will be joined in progress on Sports Talk 99.1 FM – KPGM. Bruin guys will air on KWON - AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1 – with both sets of audio on KWONTV.com.

Win and they advance to Regional consolation finals on Saturday, lose and their season would be over.
