Bruins Set for Game 2 v. Sapulpa

Bartlesville High football is searching for its first win against Sapulpa since 2017, as the Bruins host the 5A Chieftains at Custer Stadium on Friday night.
BHS is 0-1 after a tough loss to Claremore a week ago. Mental errors, special teams’ miscues and turnovers put Bartlesville on upset alert.
Head coach Harry Wright says practice this week has been a good bounce-back.
For the second straight week BHS will face an opponent with a bunch of returning starters. Sapulpa has eight guys back on offense from a year ago, including its top wide out, running back and quarterback. The Chieftains enter the game at 1-1 and averaging 47.5 points-per-game.
Wright talks about keys to the game on Friday night.
Bartlesville will likely have Brett Eaves at the quarterback spot on Friday after starter Nate Neal was injured against the Zebras.
A 6:30 pregame and a 7:00 kick from Custer Stadium on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1. Video coverage on KWONTV.com.
