Bruins Show More Offense in Cville Loss

Bartlesville High football again had its moments on offense but struggled to stop Collinsville in a shootout south on HWY 75.

The Cardinals topped BHS 47-27.

Bartlesville forced a Collinsville 3-and-out on the first Cardinal possession, but the Cardinals mostly scored at will from that point moving forward.

BHS was still able to move the ball effectively, thanks to another outstanding night from sophomore quarterback Michael Kent.

Kent was 27-37 passing for 342 yards and 3 touchdowns. He had 66 yards rushing with another touchdown.

This Kent rush was the first Bruin score of the game in the second quarter.

Bartlesville put up 21 points in the second half, all on Kent passes. He had a 71-yard score to Harrison Ketchum and another nice pass to Matthew Sears.

This toss to Boden Roberts on a 4th and 17 play was probably the best play of the night for either team.

The Bruins drop to 0-3 on the fall. BHS kicks off District play on Friday night at home against Sand Springs.
