Bartlesville High football won its first playoff game in seven years on Friday night, as the Bruins knocked off Lawton 36-30 in overtime.

It was a thriller and the entire game is available to watch on-demand on KWONTV.com.

Again, Bartlesville used its bellcow running back PJ Wallace to success. Wallace ran the ball 40 times for 245 yards. The sophomore has eclipsed the 1,600 yard-marker for the season after his performance on Friday night.

After the game, Bruin head coach Harry Wright talked about Wallace’s transformation from his freshman to sophomore year.

This was Bartlesville’s first playoff victory since a 35-14 win over Midwest City at Custer Stadium on November 13, 2015. BHS moves on to face the unquestioned No. 1 ranked team in 6A-II, the Stillwater Pioneers.

Wright says he is excited about the win, and ready to get back to Stillwater.

The Pioneers beat the Bruins 55-7 during the regular season on Oct. 13. It was a tight game early, which Stillwater ran away with in the 2nd half.

A 7:00 kick on Friday night. More on that game later on this week.
