Getting set for the second full week of high school football across the area on Friday night.

One local team still looking for their first win in their third game of the season - is Copan.

The Hornets will have their best chance of the season to get a W on the road at Foyil.

Despite the 0-2 record, still a pretty good start for the Hornets. Copan came close to knocking off Welch last week.

The Hornets lost 28-26 after having some good chances to get the victory. A Hornet slipped on his way into the endzone as time expired, falling short of a touchdown that would have won the game.

There were some other miscues, as well.

Head coach Marshall Foreman talks about some of the issues his club had last week.

Still, only a two-point loss to a team Copan lost to a season ago by 50 points. Teegan Caron had 120 receiving, two touchdowns, 10 tackles on defense and 60 yards rushing. Kane Foreman threw for three touchdowns in the loss.

Foyil is 1-1 after a win over Claremore Christian and a blowout loss to Barnsdall a week ago. Foreman talks about Foyil.
