Dewey FB Shutout for Second Consecutive Week
The Dewey Bulldoggers fell in another tough matchup this week to the Miami Wardogs, 34-0. While that seems like a wide margin, it was only a one score game going into the 3rd quarter as the Wardogs led 6-0 at the half.
Probably one of the bigger plays of the ball game for Dewey was at the end of the first half when the defense stiffened up inside the 10-yard to force a turnover on downs to end the half.
Miami would open the flood gates in the 3rd quarter and score 21 points to make it 27-0 heading into the final 12 minutes of play. The Wardogs would add one more touchdown in the final frame to make it 34-0 before time expired to push the Bulldoggers to 1-2 heading into District play next Friday.
Eddie Rice was named our Patriot Player of the game after leading the team in tackles and having a couple of tackles for loss on the night. Dewey returns to the field next Friday at home against Jay for a homecoming matchup at 7 pm.
