Dewey's Basketball Season Comes to an End on Saturday

Dewey's basketball season came to an unfortunate end on Saturday afternoon, as they lost to the Catoosa Indians in regional consolation championship action, 77-46.

Catoosa led from wire-to-wire, as the Indians jumped out to a 22-4 lead at the end of the first quarter, as the Bulldoggers struggled with the defensive pressure of Catoosa early. Coming out of the second quarter, freshman Austin Eastman gave Dewey a little bit of a burst, as he hit back-to-back three's, including this one right here.

Catoosa had too much fire-power on offense, as they took a 20-point lead into halftime before cruising to the victory.

Jace Williams was the leading scorer for the Doggers. Eastman finished with nine points on the night.

Dewey, who won the Northeast Valley Conference Title, finishes the season at 16-12.
