Harry Wright Previews Sapulpa

Bartlesville head football coach Harry Wright joined us on Wednesday night for his weekly radio show from Dink’s Pit BBQ.

Coach Wright talked about the Bruin’s one-point loss at home to Claremore last week and previewed the Bruins and the Sapulpa Chieftains Friday night from Custer Stadium.

Bartlesville lost the turnover battle 3-0, started nearly all its drives within its own 20, and handed Claremore a pick-six touchdown last week. All fixable mistakes for a club that outgained Claremore by more than 200-yards.

Wright says making those mistakes early this season will hopefully lead to quick fixes.

One of the major positives to come out of the contest was the emergence of junior running back Stefen Williams. Williams had nine carries for 97 yards officially against Claremore, burning the Zebras for almost 10 yards a carry. This included a 38-yard touchdown run, Bartlesville’s second longest play of the day.

Wright talks about William’s performance last week.

If you missed the show on Wednesday night, it is archived on KWONTV.com.

Bartlesville hosts Sapulpa Friday night at 7:00 with a 6:30 pregame on KWON and KWONTV.com.
