Holliday Homers Again

An Oklahoman is starting to make some major waves during his second stint in the Major Leagues.

Stillwater High product Jackson Holliday was called up to the majors with the Baltimore Orioles earlier this year, after struggling he was sent back down to the minors. This second try has been better.

Holliday has hit a home run in three straight games.

On Wednesday night it was a two-run go-ahead homer for The O’s in a 7-2 victory over Toronto.

He has now hit four home runs during his rookie campaign, all coming in the past nine days since he was called back up on July 31.  

Holliday, 20-years-old, is now 14 players in baseball history to hit a home run in three staright games before turning 21.

Holliday last played at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium in 2022, going 1-2 with two walks and a strikeout against Brenden Asher in a 4-1 Bruin win on April 11.
