Huskies Beat Nowata in Season Opener

The Pawhuska Huskies had a big opening zero week district matchup against Nowata and took care of business by winning with ease, 60-12.
Pawhuska scored the first 48 points of the night on a nice combination of passing from quarterback Kane Foreman and Jenson Snodgrass showing off his legs at the quarterback spot as well. Jarek Edwards, a newcomer from Bartlesville scored two touchdowns in his debut and Tripp Walker added two more.
Already leading 8-0, Kane Foreman found the senior in Logan Cass for this 30-yard touchdown reception.
That was the first touchdown for Cass since suffering a season-ending leg injury in a game against Quapaw last year.
The highlight of the night for Nowata came on the final play of the first half on this pass and catch from Adrian O'Dell to Isiah Saxton.
Both teams will begin non-district play on Friday. Nowata will host Warner and Pawhuska goes to Meeker.
