Indians 2-1 Weekend - Play Again Monday

Bartlesville’s summer baseball team went 2-1 over the weekend, as the Doenges Toyota Indians are getting set for their busiest stretch of the summer.
The Indians split a pair of games on Saturday at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium. The Tribe beat RBI Native in game one, 6-5 but fell to the DFW Ravages in game two, 8-5.
Bartlesville was behind early in both games.
The Indians were down three runs early in the first contest but battled back multiple times to grab the win. Easton Davis threw three scoreless innings in relief. His former Dewey teammate Eddie Rice scored the go-ahead run in the sixth after a big double.
Meanwhile in game two Bartlesville was even more under the gun. The Indians surrendered seven runs on two errors, four walks and four hits allowed in the top second inning.
Despite the 7-0 deficit, the Tribe never stopped coming. The Indians brought the tying run to the plate in the seventh but the big hit alluded them.
Bartlesville got within three in the fifth inning off a Coen Miller double.
Bartlesville stands at 14-7 on the year as the calendar turns to July. The Indians will host a DBAT League double-header on Wednesday. Game one of that event will be KWON Night at the Ballpark.
The next game for the Tribe will be Monday night at 5:30 in Stroud. A pair of games on KWON & KWONTV.com.
