Indians Back in Action Tuesday

Bartlesville’s boys of summer are back in action for the first two of only eight guaranteed games remaining this season.

The Doenges Ford Indians have their only regular season road date at Independence, Kansas on Tuesday evening.

Bartlesville will hopefully have a chance to get right against the Cardinals, who they have beaten six times earlier this year.

The Indians have lost eight of their last 11.

However, there are still plenty of positives. Grant Clark will get one of the starts on Tuesday. Clark was named to the All-Tournament Team during the Glen Winget last weekend after throwing seven innings of one-run ball in a tie against Kickapoo.

Clark talks about his emergence on the mound since the back half of the spring.

At 35 innings pitched, Clark leads the Tribe and has now thrown 14 more innings than the second-most Indian. He enters the double-header on Tuesday with a 2.20 ERA.

A 6:00 first pitch from Independence, a contest we will carry for you on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1. Video coverage on KWONTV.com.

Bartlesville is 15-12-1 on the summer.
