Indians Baseball Splits First D-BAT League Games

The Doenges Toyota Indians split their first D-BAT League doubleheader Monday night at O'Brien Park.
The Indians lost game one to the Tulsa Barons, 6-5, they won game two, 4-2.
In game one, the Indians trailed early after a two-run first inning from the Barons. The Indians responded a half-inning later to get within a run.
Bartlesville's big inning came in the top of the third. The Tribe struck for four runs to lead, 5-2. This double from Coen Miller capped off the big inning.
Miller finished the game with two hits and two RBI.
Tulsa responded with three of their own on a homerun to left field to tie the game at five. The Barons scored the eventual game-winning run in the bottom of the fifth.
In game two, both offenses went quiet. The Indians never trailed in the second game. In a shortened game due to a time limit, Bartlesville scored a run in the top of the first and another run in the third. The Barons responded with two of their own in the bottom of the third to tie the game.
The game stayed tied until the fifth inning. Once again it was Miller driving in two more runs on this single through the right side.
Payton Darden shut the door in relief with three strikeouts in the final frame. The Barons left the bases loaded in the final inning.
The split puts Bartlesville at 1-1 in D-BAT league play and 7-1 on the summer. The Indians are back in action Wednesday night for a single game at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium against Tulsa Barons Gold at 5:45 p.m.
Coverage of the single game can be heard on KWON - AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1, as well as KWONTV.com.
