Two days away from the Doenges Ford Indians taking the field in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

The Tribe had a schedule change to their tournament play this weekend. Bartlesville will now take on Texarkana in the first round of the Katzer Tournament on Friday night at 8:30.

Bartlesville will still play games at 5:00 and 7:30 on Saturday night, but now will take on the Fort Smith Sportsmen and Conway, Arkansas. The tournament will wrap up with bracket play on Sunday.

We’ve mentioned the number of returners several times. Bartlesville will have 13 guys who have played Indian baseball before. Eight of those players are returning after a single season in college.

As usual, Bartlesville High Bruins will anchor the club. Brenden Asher will be one of the Tribe’s better arms and will likely be the Indians short stop when he is not pitching. This will be his third year with the club.

Indian’s manager John Pannell talks about what Asher brings to the program.

We will have the Indian’s games this weekend on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1. Video coverage available on
