Nowata at Hulbert on Thursday Night
The Nowata football Ironmen are well-rested headed into a short week.
Nowata is coming off a rough loss on the road at Dewey during the Adam Hooper Bowl more than a week ago. Despite the loss, it is still the best start for the Ironmen in five years. Nowata is 1-1 as it gets set for a Thursday night battle against Hulbert.
A short week for Nowata starting on Monday, but the Ironmen have four extra days to prepare when factoring in the bye.
Head coach Chance Juby talks about what Nowata has been up to during some of its down time.
This will be Nowata’s final non-District game, before the Ironmen start 2A-District 8 play against Caney Valley on Sept. 22.
Hulbert is 0-2 in Class A with two losses to Porter Consolidated and Kansas by large margins. Thursday’s game at Hulbert will be one we have on KRIG 104.9 and KRIGTV.com.
Dewey will also make up its game with Miami on Friday night on KRIG 104.9 and KRIGTV.com, as well.
