Nowata Looks to Extend Win Streak to Three vs. Vinita
The Nowata Ironmen are getting set for their second straight home game tomorrow night as they will host the Vinita Hornets for their second district matchup of the season. The Ironmen are riding a two-game win streak with big victories over Hulbert and Caney Valley in their last two contests.
The Ironmen are also off on their best start since 2014, sitting at 3-1 through four games. A big reason the Ironmen have been better in year two under Juby is the defensive turn-around from year one to year two. Head Coach Chance Juby talks about what the difference has been defensively in his second season.
The Ironmen now have a tough matchup tonight against an inexperienced Vinita squad, but it is also a school that Nowata has not beaten since 2016. Nowata has dropped six straight in this series and will look to remedy that tomorrow night.
