Oklahoma Union Hoops Season Look-Back

The Oklahoma Union Cougars basketball season has come to an end after they fell to Hartshorne last Friday, 58-33. For the Cougars, it was a tale of two different parts of the season.

OKU started out the year at 0-12 before finishing at 6-8 through the final 14-games of the season and grabbing a playoff win. The Cougars upset Caney Valley at home to end the season for the Trojans, 38-20.

Head Coach Riley Duncan shared his thoughts on the mid-season turn around, along with the regionals win in his first year coaching the Cougars.

For Duncan and OKU, he has a young squad that will see only one senior in Jack Campos graduate this May. This means he will return at least 90% of his roster when they enter next season.

Duncan feels like he will have an extremely deep rotation next season, and he talks about his excitement for year two.

OKU ends their season at 6-20 with a playoff win over a Northeast Valley Conference rival. On the girls side, their season comes to an end at 0-26
