The Oklahoma Wesleyan Men and Women's Basketball squads both came away with wins Monday night against Bethel college in Kansas. We'll start on the womens side of things..

Lady Eagles kept it close at the first half with the Threshers, but went down by as much as 12 in the 3rd quarter before going on a huge run to put them up by 2 heading into the 4th quarter. They would eventually seperate themselves, especially with the help of this huge charging call drawn by River Jeffries. Women hold on to win 74-68 and improve to 3-5 with a huge 21points coming from Zariah Tillman.

Over to the mens side, it was another close one as well but OKWU led this one majority of the way. Bethel carried some momentum with them into halftime aftera 30-foot buzzer beater to tie it at the half at 30 a-piece. The Eagles would insert their will though later in the second, going up by 10 under 5 minutes left.

That lead would hold true, as OKWU would win 63-54 and improve to 8-1 on the young season and stay undefeated in the KCAC. Top scorers for the men were Austin Poling and Kaleb Stokes with 11. OKWU mens Head Coach Donnie Bostwick talked about the gritty win over the Threshers.

Both teams return to the Hardwood Friday, as they take on Friends College.
