Patriot Athlete of the Week: Kamryn Van
It is another Monday, which means it’s another Patriot Auto Group Area Athlete of the Week.
This week we head north to Copan to look at Lady Hornet basketball senior Kamryn Van.
Van is one of two seniors on this year’s Copan girl’s club. She is a softball pitcher, as well. Although she says softball is her favorite sport, she still really enjoys basketball.
Van talks about why is loves playing basketball for the Lady Hornets.
This year’s Copan team stands at 5-9 with only a couple weeks left in the regular season. This group is younger than some recent Lady Hornet clubs. Van talks about the 2024-25 iteration of Copan Lady Hornet hoops.
Van says she enjoys hanging out with friends in her free time. She says when she is done at Copan in May she wants to go to Oklahoma State for college this coming fall.
Copan has six games left on its regular season schedule before Class B will get into the postseason around Valentine’s Day.
