Patriot Athlete of the Week: Karson Woodworth
It is another Monday, so we have another Patriot Auto Group Area Athlete of the Week, powered by Tri County Tech. Today we will have our final fall sports player of the year in Copan football standout Karson Woodworth.
Woodworth was one of only a handful of seniors for Copan this fall. He was a tight end and cornerback for the Hornets this past season. Woodworth has majorly improved for Copan over the past few years.
He says that added practice time and working out has been a big part of his growth.
Woodworth also plays basketball and baseball for Copan. He says he enjoys catching the football on offense more than any other skill in any other sport.
As far as hobbies go, Woodworth likes to work with his hands and says he likes working on his car, a truck from the 1990s.
Woodworth says he has thought about working on cars for a living. He currently paints and helps renovate homes for work. He says becoming a relator is also an option.
Copan finished out its football season in the first round of the B-II playoffs. It was the first Copan home playoff game since 2008. The Hornets will have many seniors next season, Woodworth says he enjoyed growing up with this year’s junior class.
