The Pawhuska Huskies were hosting the Pioneer Woman Classic last night. Rejoice Christian, Sperry and Dewey all made it to Ormond-Beach Memorial Stadium for a final tuneup before Week Zero gets underway next week.

While each team faced off against eachother, it was Pawhuska and Dewey doing battle in the final half game of the night. Huskies Coach Matt Hennesy said most importantly they got out healthy, but added he was pleased with what he saw with his bunch.

In the end, Pawhuska got the best of Dewey, edging the Doggers by a final score of 38-0. This included a 53 yard strike from Canyon Hindman to Logan Cass and an athletic reception at the goal line from Lane Kyler.

Dewey Coach Ryan Richardson said that while he wasn't pleased with the outcome, he also knows nobody remembers the score of a scrimmage at the end of the season.

Pawhuska opens the season on the road at Nowata next Friday while Dewey travels to Locust Grove. We will have both of those games for you on the radio and streaming online.
