Samaritan Sports Holds Successful Event

The 17th Samaritan Sports Spectacular took place on Saturday evening at the Hilton Garden Inn and brought a couple statewide speakers with big-time connections to Bartlesville.
The event is the largest annual fundraiser for Samaritan Counseling & Growth Center. It kicks off fall sports in our community with a fun, sports-themed event, dinner, keynote speaker, with both a live and silent auction.
This past weekend’s speakers were Oral Roberts Athletic Director, and Bartlesville native, Tim Johnson and ORU head baseball coach Ryan Folmar.
Johnson talked about his obvious connections to Bartlesville at the beginning of the address.
Meanwhile Folmar talked about former Bartlesville High Bruins who helped get the Golden Eagles to the College World Series this past spring.
Former Bruin AJ Archambo was a five-year player in the ORU program. His final year of eligibility was in 2022. Meanwhile Jakob Hall was one of the top starting pitchers on this past year’s historic club.
Folmar talked about Hall’s progression as a pitcher.
Hall was the Golden Eagle's Friday night starter all season. He started game one of the ORU games in the Regional, Super Regional and CWS.
