The Adam Hooper Bowl - Dewey v Nowata

High School football kicks off Week No. 1 on Friday night.
Maybe the biggest game statewide and in our area is up in Dewey, as the Bulldoggers kick off their season at home against their rival Nowata.
This is the seventh year that the two rivals have played in a game named after Bartlesville Radio's former Assistant Sports Director Adam Hooper.
Dewey has won seven straight meetings in the rivalry, but Nowata comes in at 1-0 on the year after beating Chelsea last week. Dewey had its game against Miami postponed.
Bulldogger head coach Ryan Richardson talks about what his club will face in Nowata.
Meanwhile on the Nowata side of things, the Ironmen will try to find a way to stop Dewey’s athletes on the edge.
Second-year Nowata head coach Chance Juby talks about the Ironmen’s keys in the rivalry matchup.
A 7:00 kick with a 6:30 pregame on KRIG 104.9 and KRIGTV.com.
Since 1999 both Nowata and Dewey have won 12 matchups in the game.
