OU will stick with Jackson Arnold at quarterback, as the Sooners navigate a tough schedule at the end of the 2024 season.

Oklahoma goes to Ole Miss on Saturday morning hoping for a spark on offense. Arnold appeared to be more settled after coming off the bench a week ago during the Sooner’s loss to South Carolina.

He threw a 54-yard touchdown to Brennan Thompson for OU’s only touchdown of the afternoon.

Head coach Brent Venables made the announcement on Monday night during his weekly radio show on KWON. He also echoed his same comments he had in a statement over the weekend after the firing of Sooner offensive coordinator Seth Littrell, saying the OU offense has not lived up to Oklahoma’s standard this year.

Venables will have his weekly press conference on Tuesday in Norman.

Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy met with the media on Monday afternoon in Stillwater.

Gundy implied it will be seventh-year senior Alan Bowman at quarterback on Saturday in Waco, as the Cowboy's take on Baylor looking to snap a four-game losing streak.

It is down to Bowman and true freshman Maealiuaki Smith as scholarship quarterbacks that are available, as both Zane Flores and Garrett Rangel are out with injuries moving forward. Rangel started against BYU last week.

Gundy was asked about Oklahoma State’s 19-year bowl streak, which is on alert after a 3-4 start. Pokes must go 3-2 to finish bowl eligible.

A 2:30 kick on Saturday on KWON with a 12:30 pregame.
