WCS to Begin Year Without QB

Wesleyan Christian School is excited to get the long awaited 2023 season underway.

The Mustangs open against Webber’s Falls on Friday night in Bartlesville. WCS is looking for its first win against Webber’s Falls, as the Mustangs have lost three straight in the non-District series.

Some bad luck this preseason for WCS, as senior starting quarterback Tyrel Cloud injured his non-throwing hand during the Mustang’s scrimmage against Barnsdall a couple of weeks ago.

According to head coach Curt Cloud, who is Tyrel’s dad, he will miss a few weeks to begin the year, but should be back by District play.

Kael Siemers will step in at the QB spot for a few weeks. Curt Cloud talks about his new quarterback.

With Cloud’s injury coming in the first scrimmage it gives him time to heal and the team time to learn a new offense with Siemers at the helm.

Cloud talks about his son’s injury.

A 7:00 kick on Friday night from off Silver Lake in Bartlesville.

Mustangs return seven starters and almost all the playres from a team that won 10 games a year ago.
